My name is Dash Papez. I will graduate in 2024 and have a hunger for success. I play Centre-Back for the DC United Academy and have a 3.9 GPA (Unweighted).
Competition has always been important to me. Everywhere I go, I strive to be the best. I push myself to the limits and encourage others to do the same. My competitiveness has allowed me to excel in tough situations and withstand pressure. In addition, my leadership skills help my teammates find confidence so we can find success as a team. I have been with my academy for 4 years, and throughout that time, I have made very valuable friendships and become a Captain of the team.
In addition to my competitive attitude and leadership abilities, I know how to get the job done. I am an aggressive yet tactical player. I can anticipate plays on the field, enabling me to effectively use my abilities to help my team. I am solid in all the categories required for a successful Centre-Back. Defensively, I use my speed and strength to win the ball from my opponents, and I win my aerial duels without hesitation. Offensively, I am composed on the ball and can hit a wide variety of tough passes with both feet.
My goal is to take my abilities and leadership skills to the next level. I want to build connections and meet friends, work hard to overcome challenges as well as enjoy good times, and most importantly, help myself and others around me succeed.
