Like many other student athletes, I have been playing soccer since I was five years old and on travel teams since I was eight. As you can imagine, soccer has been a big part of my life and I enjoy playing and watching the sport. I have been fortunate enough to have played for competitive teams in two different states (PA and VA), and even had the opportunity to train in England. Not only have I been able to advance my skills in this sport every year I have played, I have built and gained respect from my coaches and teammates and have developed leadership and teamwork skills I can use in every aspect of my life.
Aside from the physical benefits soccer has given me, it has also helped me build strong character, patience, discipline, motivation and drive for success. I would like to continue to pursue my love of this sport into college. My hope is that I can find the right balance between academic and athletic success beyond what I have achieved so far. Over the past few years I have had to change teams several times due to a move from one state to another, as well as two clubs merging into one. Through all of these changes, I grew as a player while adapting to new systems, styles and expectations. My work ethic never changed, so I know that I can make the adjustment to the college level and be an impact player. I welcome the opportunity to be a solid addition to a team with a great foundation so that I can continue to have fun while playing hard!
Thank you,
Brandon Plasha
