Alexander Perine '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alex Perine. I am an aspiring college athlete who would like to play at the most competitive level possible. I am currently a Junior at West Springfield High School. My current academic load consists of AP and Honors classes. My current grade point average is a 4.1. At West Springfield I am the Varsity Keeper. I have been playing soccer since I can remember. I have trained and played in Europe to include: Germany (Eintracht Frankfurt, Hoffenheim, Karlsruhe) and in Denmark/Holland with Joga SC. I can also play in the field. I am comfortable with both feet and can play in different styles of play such as possession based and counter attacking play.  My current club is Alexandria Soccer Association  where I train with the MLS Next Team and am the dedicated goalie for 03/04 Red. 

Some of my extracurricular activities include refereeing soccer at the youth level and volunteering in Top Soccer which is organized by Gunston SC. I am a member of my school's Military Ambassador Club. This club recognizes the service of our military members and veterans through community service, an example is laying flags at Arlington Cemetery.  In addition, I am a member of the German Honor Society and National Honor Society. I speak German fluently and have spent every Summer there. 

I am interested in playing for a program that is competitive, challenge's me academically and to be the best soccer player I can be.  I am a hard worker, coachable and a team player. I lead on and off the field and understand the importance of setting a positive example.
