Landon Clay '20 Recruiting Profile

I am a dedicated athlete with a focus in Soccer and basketball. I was just inducted into the National Honor society. My biggest asset according to my coaches is that I share the ball well in both soccer and basketball and "will run through a wall for them". This year our Varsity soccer team won the state title, and seven of my teamates are playing  D 1 soccer next year. I still have 2 years to go and have competed with some of the best. players in Tidewater, New Jersey, and Northern Virginia. I have played on the Elite Travel team for Rush during the past 9 years  and have played on my school team as well. In all this time I have only missed one game due to injury out of more than 160 soccer games and 110 basketball games. Our family vacations and Spring breaks have all been scheduled around my soccer schedule and team practice where I have missed less than 3 practices in the past 9 years. On every team I play on whether it is basketball or soccer, I always lead in assist. I was this years Captain of the JV Basketball team. My Coach (Marino) told me that I was the best team Captain that he had ever in had in his past 25 years of Coaching. My Dad who played Soccer all 4 years at Virginia Tech has coached me since I was 5.
