Kevin Swayne '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kevin Swayne and I am a GK graduating in 2023.  I attend Jamestown HS in Williamsburg, VA and have a 3.93 GPA.  I have been playing soccer since the age of 5 and have been playing the goalie position for about 8 years.  In the last 6 years I have worked extremely hard to rise from the lowest travel team in my club to the most elite team, winning a National Championship in summer 2022 (USCS National Cup Finals in Denver).  At that time I was playing on Virginia Legacy 05 Elite - this team has now moved to the Reign FC club.   I currently play for VA Reign FC 04/05 Elite.  I am an extremely dedicated player who leads on and off the soccer field. In addition to regular training and games, I volunteer every year to teach young kids the joy of soccer, helping with the youth development program in my town.  I also am on the Jamestown HS "O-Crew", the Orientation Crew  which helps mentor and guide new freshmen at my school.  For me, soccer is what gives me confidence, and has shown me that I can accomplish anything I want to if I am willing to work for it.  I hope to continue playing soccer at a high level in college, as well as continuing to focus on my academic experience.
