Lukas Wexler '24 Recruiting Profile

I have always been a fan and player of soccer.   The sport showcases individual and team skills and I love the competition.   I am a strong leader and positive teammate.    

I graduated high school June 2023 and am currently taking online classes while attending International Development Academy in the UK.    I want to take my training and skills to the next level in order to be a better player and teammate for my college season.

My strengths:

• I grew up in a small college town and have adapted to three Club changes and various coaches and am used to traveling to the larger city for practices (around 160 miles round trip).  I practice hard and put in the work off hours.  I show and share respect to coaches, teammates and referees.   I am eager to play at the collegiate level where there will be consistent structure and have like-minded teammates who love the game as much as me.    I have and continue to play a the premiere club level, currently with EW Surf and was with EPD prior to Covid shutdown.   I participate as often as I can with Washington State University Soccer and their coaches have been a great asset to my game with their advice and mentorship.

• I also play basketball and golf which helps with my physical and mental conditioning.  I worked in my high school broadcasting department and commentate the basketball and football games.   I enjoy the analytics and stats of sports and hope to carry that over into a career after college.
