I am a high school swimmer who has been swimming since I was six. I have tried other sports, but none have really felt like my sport other than swim. My favorite events are the 100 Fly and 100 back, although I think of myself as a well-rounded swimmer and enjoy competing in the 200IM as well. I have been told I am a good leader both in sports and academically. When it comes to my team, I try my best to keep my teammates upbeat and ready for anything that allows us to improve as a team. For instance, I have taken a mentorship role with my high school team that has newer swimmers. I spend extra time helping them with their technique and building a love for the sport. In school I try to make friends or at least acquaintances with everyone I meet in class, and I try to help anyone who needs it. My teachers regularly ask me to assist my peers in understanding material. My goal is to compete at the college level in swim while achieve a degree in Mathematics or Science.
