One of the main reasons I started swimming was that it was fun; the desire to win kept pushing me forward and the competitiveness of this sport made me fall in love with it. I believe that swimming not only builds individual character but helps me connect with my team and meet lots of friends. One reason why I'm interested in college swimming is because of the great environment, such as at the 2022 NCAA D1 Swimming Championships, where you could see each swimmer's teammates cheering them on. Such positivity allows swimmers to bond like family. Of course, collegiate swimming can also help one develop a lot. The numerous amounts of meets with professional training would increase my experience, perfect my technique, and improve my fitness, helping me go faster like never before. I believe I'm a good candidate for a D1 team because I can easily make friends with people, and contribute a lot to the team spirit. Also, my academics are extremely strong, with a 4.0 GPA even with difficult courses, and I will also take the SAT very soon. Last but not least, my athletic performance is quite strong, almost hitting the D1 standard in 3 events. Furthermore, I also believe that I have more to come as I've only recently started training at a high intensity, and also have technical areas (such as underwater) in which I can greatly improve.
