Alexandre Louvel '27 Recruiting Profile

I am a driven and versatile student with a passion for political science and a strong commitment to swimming. Born in Beijing to French and Chinese parents, I spent my earlier years immersed in diverse cultures and languages and later moved to the Bay Area for high school. This unique upbringing has fostered a global perspective and a deep appreciation for different viewpoints.

Academically, I have consistently excelled in my coursework at Crystal Springs Uplands School, a renowned institution that prioritizes academic rigor while also fostering a supportive and nurturing environment. As a member of the Class of 2027, I have maintained a 3.9 while balancing my rigorous training schedule. My interest in political science is fueled by my desire to understand the complexities of governance and contribute to positive social change. 

As a competitive swimmer with PASA in the US and Clichy 92 in France, I have represented France at the highest levels of junior national competitions, providing invaluable experiences to draw from. My dedication to the sport has taught me the importance of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork. My ultimate goal would be to represent France at the LA 2028 Olympic games and I am committed to continuing my swimming career at the collegiate level while pursuing my academic goals.

Beyond my academic and athletic pursuits, I am actively involved in restorative justice organizations and practices, and through my experiences volunteering with these organizations, I have developed a strong sense of civic responsibility and a desire to make a positive impact on my community, which itself translates over to how I interact with my team!
