Jake Finch '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Jake Finch, and I have been swimming competitively since I was 13 years old with Coronado Swim Team Elite, formerly Coronado Swim Association. For the past few years, it's felt like I've had this fire in me yearning to get faster and faster! I truly love this sport, and I hope to continue to grow my passion for it through these upcoming years.

Throughout my years in this sport, I've been fortunate to have worked with some fantastic people, as well as having some absolutely amazing teammates who've helped me push and push to become the man I am today. Something that sets me apart from the crowd is my commitment. I am an extremely dedicated swimmer, and I'm also very coachable. I'm open to learning new techniques and strategies that'll be able to better myself in this sport. Outside of swim, I excel in academics. Additionally, I'm also interested in studying mechanical engineering, so having a school with this major is a must. Just like in my sport, I always dedicate my time and soul to making sure I do the best that I can. 

My goals for my Junior & Senior years are to get some better cuts for meets like sectionals and other championship meets. After high school, I want to continue to contribute to my team. Whether I'm doing that in spirit, or outright pouring my heart and soul into, I'll make sure to always give my best.
