I started swimming back in fourth grade. I was homeschooled at the time and basic swimming classes met my physical education requirements. I loved it so much that I decided to join my local swim team. I have enjoyed being on my club and Varsity high school teams, and I have been swimming ever since. Through swimming I have become a more resilient, focused and mentally tough person, which has been a asset to me outside of the pool as well. I put a lot of effort into each practice and love to hear feedback from my coaches so I can improve. I plan on going into Kinesiology when in college, and hope to either go into chiropractic or physical therapy. I also enjoy mountain biking, surfing, weightlifting, skateboarding, street hockey, going duck hunting with my dad and grandfather, and making sushi. Overall, I appreciate what swimming has done for me and I am dedicated to improving. I work hard every day in the pool and I really enjoy the team atmosphere. I have always motivated my teammates and encouraged them with their events. I have a positive attitude and I know I will bring that can do attitude into college swimming! I look forward to learning from my future coaches and supporting my team anyway I can!
