My name is Hinata, and I started swimming rather late in my childhood, in the summer of 5th grade. However, my passion for the sport has only grown every year, and since going into high school, it has become my main sport and one of my main hobbies; and last year during junior year, I began to swim year-round with Novaquatics. I am also a very scholarly student, having taken GATE, Honors, and AP classes every year of school since 5th grade; and in college, I would like to major in law or pre-law so I can work towards joining law enforcement or becoming a lawyer later in my life to protect those that can't protect themselves and to uphold justice.
One of my major strengths and character traits is my ambition, and following that, my dedication to uphold those ambitions. When I set myself a goal that I am dedicated to, I will put in all the work necessary with integrity to ensure I reach those goals. I am currently working hard every day in both swimming and water polo to reach college-level times by the end of my senior year swim season. I am also ambitious in terms of the range of tasks I do everyday, as I challenge myself with not only swimming, but with AP academics, choral music, water polo, and a job: a trait that I will be carrying on to the college and swim team I go to.
