I have grown up learning and achieving a high work ethic, integrity, and duty to self, God, and Country. My father was a communications expert in the United States Air Force before beginning his own business and my mother is a double certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Both embody the principles of strong work and achieving greatness in their fields. I have learned from both at a young age and have forged the same character and traits for myself.
I have been involved in Scouting since the First Grade and have gone through the ranks of Cub Scouts, Webelos, and now Boy Scouts. I have achieved all of my ranks in the Scouts and am working on my Eagle Scout requirements and will achieve this rank before my graduation. Boy Scouts involves hard work and integrity. I have been involved in the Eagle Projects of others and am now working on achieving the goal I set for myself as a young boy. I have served in many leadership roles as a Scout and am currently my Troop's Senior Patrol Leader; a position voted on by all members of the troop. I serve as the top leader for Troop 519 in the California Inland Empire Council and oversee the many positions and roles of other leaders in my troop. I set the vision and keep our troop moving in the direction we have set.
My two older brothers were competitive swimmers and played water polo. I have quite literally grown up on the pool deck attending my first swim meet with my family at the age of 2 weeks. I knew I wanted to follow in their footsteps and be a swimmer as soon as I was old enough to be involved in organized sports. I joined the Palm Springs Aquatics at the age of 5 and have been involved in year round club swim since 2006.
I joined the Palm Springs Piranhas at the age of 8 in 2009. I have enjoyed every level of swimming and being involved in swim meets. My love for swimming and dedication to practice, improvement, personal goals, and team goals has grown and matured. I work hard and as a dedicated member of both my club and high school teams I enjoy not only my personal achievements and growth, but also those of my team mates and of course our relay times and teamwork.
My high school Xavier College Prep is a Jesuit school with the tradition of working hard in each and every thing. My school encourages personal growth and dedication with a focus on serving others. Our motto is "Men and Women with and for Others". We focus on understanding and developing our individual strengths and passions to be strongly academic and successful people while using these gifts and talents to serve others and improve our world. I demonstrate that motto in each of my endeavors, school work, Boy Scouts, and Swimming. My passion for the community is serving and volunteering with my school, church, and the elderly. Each and every journey is taken with vigor and hard work. I will continue this into my college career and will swim and demonstrate dedication, team work, and collegiality for my college team!
