I always knew that having a talent or skill could benefit one in anything. In the beginning of highschool I noticed that I would create a habit of myself of getting things done on time, even if it was last minute. The assignment will get done no matter what. This became my habit every night just making myself determined to finish it even if it's not the best quality work. Any other way making everything on time benefited me in making sure that I don't have to worry the next day as it turns out to be late and rushed. It causes more stress and more work that will just keep on piling up until it becomes too much. An example would be starting in 6th grade where one of my teachers had an incentive each quarter for the people with no missing assignments. This means that in the whole quarter you would turn in every assignment that was given. And every quarter I was there for every incentive. This habit was then carried out through all middle school and most of high school. This then carried on to outside school activities like sports. Since I am mainly a swimmer, I've already set goals. For example though my sophomore year I made a goal to make it to CIF. By doing this, I took significant amounts of practice to go to. I also had to push myself harder in practice. Therefore I could go to many practices a week as I was doing many sports in highschool. That didn't stop me from reaching my goal knowing that I had to be done before CBL was over. At CBL it turned out to be better than expected. As the results show me destroying my PRs easily making the cut for CIF. Ending up doing all four of my events that I qualified for. This skill helps with all life as shown with these examples.
