I wish for a college that cares for their team as much as they do for winning as teamwork is just as important as the sport itself. I value this important attribute of a swim team and try to encourage teamwork at all times. Also, I value teams that have positive attitudes as I strive to stay positive at all times as well. When training under difficult circumstances, it is easy to become discouraged in which it can potentially prevent swimmers from improving themselves. This is why it's important that positive attitudes are important. This leads to a competitive spirit. The ambition to win is one of the most important attitudes to have on the team and I myself have the drive to improve myself better in order to win. This is the leading cause of improving your skills so that you can become better. These 3 attributes not only separate me from other swimmers but also is what I would like to see in a swimming college. Academics are also important as it is the main reason why students should attend colleges in the first place and having a coach that can understand that school is a priority is important. This is something that I value and would want to have in my college.
