I have been apart of the swimming sport for almost 10 years. After trying out for a recreation swim team I knew it was the sport for me. I was dedicated by going to practices and training nonstop. I am very passionate for what I do, never taking a break, never giving up, and I wish to continue swimming after high school and possibly into a NCAA Division 1 or 2 competitive school in the state of Florida or southeastern region and I am very open to exploring all options presented to me. I swim year-round for a club team making senior champs cuts regularly and have swam for my high school team since I was a freshman, making it to state finals this past year. Swimming has made me realize who I really am and what I am truly capable of. I constantly strive and push myself to the best of my ability in practices and my meets. In my past I have had to overcome switching teams, meeting new coaches and teammates, a long distance drives every day, and weather is a big factor as only swimming in outdoor pools in the state of Florida can be tough at times. My goals for my senior year are to finish with all A’s and B’s and raise my GPA. I want to complete all my requirements and apply for scholarships earning a place on a swim team where I can contribute and be a part of a successful steam.
