Carmen Yeager '24 Recruiting Profile

I’m Carmen Yeager and I’m a senior at Kennesaw Mountain High School. I’ve been swimming competitively since I was six. I started off swimming in summer league, then joined a junior team in middle school. Once I got to high school, I made the varsity team, and swam pre- and post-season camps to keep up my skills for the next high school season. I’ve been a State Qualifier since sophomore year. In January 2023, I joined a club team and since then, my times have improved significantly. I spent my fall break training at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and I just finished my senior high school season as varsity captain. I’m known as a utility on my team because, while I have my favorite events, I’m always willing to fill in somewhere if needed. This season, I’ve been swimming the 200 medley almost every meet to score points for my team. I competed in the 200 Medley Relay (Fly), 50 free, 100 fly, and 400 Free Relay at this year’s state meet. If I’m not actively swimming, you’ll find me on the side of the pool cheering for everyone on our team. It’s very important to me that everyone feels included in our swim family. Now that my high school season is over, I’m starting the middle school swim season as an Assistant Coach.

Outside of swimming, I’m in the Drama Club and participate in school plays and musicals. I was inducted into the International Thespian Society this year. I’m in my second year on the Chorus Leadership Team and I sing bass in the Advanced Chamber Singers. I’m the bass section leader this year and I’m also in the A Cappella choir. I like playing Overwatch 2 and Minecraft with my friends and spending time with my family and cats.

I’m looking to major in history in college and I’m excited to find a swim program where I can continue to improve my times and find my place in a new swim family.
