My name is John Kaiser and I have been a student athlete my entire life. I have been swimming since I was 4 years old and I have developed quite a passion for the sport. The time that I have spent dedicated to this sport has helped to train my work ethic which I use in and out of the pool. Though I love the sport of swimming, my greatest passion lies in my education. I am a dedicated student and am excited for my future in college. I am most interested in pursuing a degree in biology or medicine, but I am leaving my options open for the time being. My recent swimming journey has been rather discouraging. Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit in the spring of 2020, near the end of my sophomore year of high school, I have suffered from some shoulder injuries. My most recent times come from January/February of 2020 and since then my ability to train or compete has been greatly affected. My injuries prevailed long enough to where I needed arthroscopic surgery which was performed on March 10, 2021. I should be recovered sometime in the summer and I am excited to train and improve during my senior year of high school and throughout my college athletic career.
