Personal Statement
The lessons learned with intense workouts in the pool have carried over to my academic and personal life. Swimming inspires me to work hard and do my best at everything. It has taught me to set goals for myself and respect the personal goals of others. I have learned, through swimming, that hard work with correct practice will help me achieve anything I set my mind to - and often the person next to me is on a similar path and deserves my appreciation for their effort after every race.
