Joshua Thomas '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Josh Thomas and I am a 5'10" high school senior preparing to graduate from Concordia Lutheran High School in Fort Wayne, IN in 2012.  I have been swimming since I was 9 years old.  My favorite stroke is Butterfly.  I made the All Conference Team each of the previous three years.  I made the All Area Team two years and went the the high school state championship for two years.

I am looking for a college where I would be able to grow as a swimmer and contribute to the overall success of the team.  Financial Assistance is going to be very important to my college selection process as my family  will have high need.  I am willing to attend an out of state school.  My GPA is currently 2.7.   in high school, I will have majors in math (honors), science, english, and spanish.  I am currently undecided regarding a college major.  However, I am looking forward to taking math, physics and business college classes.

Swimming in college would be a great experience for me.  It will test my discipline as well as my mental preparedness for swimming at a much higher competition level. It will prepare me to become a leader on the team and in my community.  I have looked forward to swimming in college since I was a young age group swimmer.
