Shortly after 3 heart surgeries my freshman year, the final one fixing it 100%, I had a breakout season as a sophomore. In the course of the high school season I managed to drop over 8 seconds in both the 100 free and the 100 breast. I also moved up from last place in both events freshman year at sectionals to 2nd place in the 100 free and winning the 100 breaststroke, qualifying for high school state championships and winning my team's MVP Award for the season. As a junior I repeated as sectional champion in the 100 breaststroke, again qualifying for state as well as Speedo Sectionals Midwest Championships. My top times include 100 breast (58.13) 100 free (47.45) 200 free (1:44.13) 500 free (4:50.80) 50 free (22.45) 200 breast (2:07.89) 200 IM (1:58.11) and 400 LC IM (4:52.65).
Academically I have a 3.8 GPA in mostly AP and College Challenge classes as well as being a member of Key Club, National Honor Society, German Club (President), and Boy Scouts of America.
I am an extremely dedicated athlete and student and my work ethic in both mirror each other. I am very excited for college and I hope to be able to continue both my academic and athletic career.
