I am an all-round well accomplished Barbadian swimmer who started swimming at the tender age of 5 years old. Since then I've gained many accomplishments and awards, most notably being selected as a nominee for Junior Athlete of the Year by the Barbados Olympic Association in 2022. I come from a family of athletes and athletic achievements and currently I am trained by my grand-father Mr. Henderson Clarke. I enjoy sports and admire elite competitive athletes who proudly represent their clubs, coaches and country on the international stage. Learning and following their road to success has motivated and driven me to remain focused and dedicated to my goal of representing my country at the highest level in swimming.
Over the years I've continuously excelled due to my dedication to consistent training effort and preparation. This includes paying close attention to my technique and execution in training as instructed by my coach, dry land training, nutrition and mental strength preparation. I strive to continuously improve and enjoy testing and executing the best race strategies to see what works best for a particular event. Additionally I enjoy building relationships with teammates and other competitors as they are the persons I spend most of my time training and competing among each day. Great relationships also positively allow me to develop as an athlete.
My primary goal and priority is to be recruited and to continue building myself with the guidance of my college coach and support of parents into a top elite swimmer while pursuing my academic aspirations of becoming a health care professional.
