Personal Statement
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Philippians 4:13. This simple but powerful bible verse has stuck with me throughout my life. It encouraged me to set goals I wish to accomplish in my academic and athletic career. As a result, I am able to proudly say that I have represented my country internationally in Barbados, Suriname, Cuba, Curacao and America. These experiences compelled my decision to continue my swimming career abroad.
I wish to represent my country at the highest levels, such as The Olympic Games and World Championships. I aspire to be the first Bahamian swimmer to win a gold medal at The Olympic Games. My leadership skills, positive attitude, determination and willingness to learn and improve my stroke are just the tip of the iceberg to the plethora of practical qualities instilled in me. My diverse Carribean culture will bring worthwhile interactions and new perspectives to the faculty and swimming community way of life. Moreover, through my extensive academic and extracurricular activities I will be able to relate and partake in the nuance of information discussed on and off the pool deck. Last but not least, I aim to assist your team in gaining points to score at School Conference Meets and NCAA Championships. It would be a pleasure to represent your school with pride and dignity wherever God's plans for my life will lead me.
