Personal Statement
I have been swimming competitively since I was 9 years old, but I have had a passion for the sport for my entire life. The clarity you get when your adrenaline has spiked and you have no priorities other than getting your hand on the wall first is very addictive.
Due to my competitive and intense nature as an athlete, I have always excelled in the sport, whether it was during my PE lessons in middle school or at the national competitions I attend today. I will continue to strive to be the best because my dream is to see how far I can take my talent.
I implement this mindset into everything I do outside of competitions as well. I thrive on facing a wide variety of challenges, ranging from school to technical focus and effort in training. This is reflected consistently during practice, motivating both me and my training partners to develop very strong relationships.
During my time as a swimmer, I have had many friends pursue the sport at the university level in America, inspiring me to do the same. I am a very athletic and disciplined swimmer who is ambitious about advancing in the sport, and I greatly look forward to doing exactly this in the United States.
