Personal Statement
As a dedicated swimmer with over six years of competitive experience, I have developed not only my athletic skills but also a self-determined and disciplined personality. Swimming has been a journey with ups and downs for me, shaping my character and teaching me the value of hard work, perseverance, and teamwork.
My passion for the sport began at a young age, and I quickly progressed through local competitions, eventually qualifying for high level competitions. I specialize in freestyle, backstroke, and IM, consistently setting personal best times and earning medals. However, my greatest achievements extend both beyond the pool and in. I have learned to balance rigorous training schedules with academic commitments, maintaining a consistent academic study while participating in various extracurricular activities, including volunteering at a charity team called heart 2 heart. In the pool, my greatest achievement was breaking the national freestyle 4*50-meter relay record during year 2024. I was dumbfounded, because I didn’t even know what the record was.
I am eager to bring my competitive spirit and teamwork mentality to the collegiate level. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to a team that values hard work. My goal is to push my limits while pursuing my dreams, where I can combine my love of swimming with my academic interests. I believe that my drive and passion will make me an asset to any college swim program.
