Personal Statement

My name is Lucas Diermayr and I have graduated from United World College (UWC) South-East Asia in Singapore in May 2022 and have since been enlisted in the (compulsory and full-time) National Service of Singapore, where I had been trained as a fire officer of the Singapore Civil Defense Force until end June 2023. From this month onwards I have joined Aquatech swim club (Singapore) and started training again in preparation for the next national competition in Singapore (Nov 2023), while I am completing the remaining 12 months of my National Service (which is like a 9-5 job at this moment). I am hoping to join a college as a student athlete and business student in Fall 2024.

I am seeking to be part of a swim team to once again feel the rush of adrenaline that I like when swimming at a race. I have enjoyed relays a lot and was always a well-liked member of the team. In my free time I like to train strength or play other sports such as soccer, ice hockey, volleyball etc. 

I have only realized after having a year of break that I would like to go back and swim for  team, after I have started to miss the camaraderie I had always enjoyed with my swim team mates.
