Entering College in Fall 2020, will enable me to access to some of the best coaching in the world. This coaching will in turn help me to achieve or get well on the way to becoming an International swimmer. My highest goals are to swim as a member of an Australian team and make the Olympic Swim Team. I believe that a US College is the place to be in order to achive this as their academic and athletic requirements are supported.
I believe I am an excellent candidate for College as my dedication to my sport is unquestionable. I have been swimming for over 17 years, not taking more than a 5 week break where I was in China on a school camp. I am consistent in attendance, dedicated to working hard on my skills and technique in order to become faster and my strength/fitness at an athlete specific gym. I have been described as a late developer, so by working hard over the past few years I have been able to work my way back to the top of competition.
Academically I am committed to maintaining good grades and keep up to date with a challenging program, using good time management and resources available to me. Swimming is an individual sport and can be challenging at times, but being part of a College team, encouraging, training and working together to succeed not only as a team, but individually as well, is an extremely enticing opportunity.
