Personal Statement
My goal is to compete for Switzerland in the Olympic Games in 2024/2028. This year I have qualified for the European Junior Championships in July and I have the Swiss age group record for 17 year olds in the 200m IM short course meters (1:59,91). As a member of the Swiss national team, I motivate myself to always keep pushing through hard sets in practice and I really enjoy competing. For the last few years, I have trained 25h per week (water and dry land training). I started competitive swimming when I was 10 years old and have been competing at a high level for many years. I am very pleased with the progress I have been making and constantly push myself to swim faster. I also thoroughly enjoy competing in the relays and to motivate others to work hard.
I speak four languages fluently (English, German, Swedish and Swiss German) and I also speak French reasonably well. I have chosen the academically challenging part of the Swiss school system ("Swiss matura") and aim to get at least a masters degree.
