I am a senior at Shawnee Mission North Highschool in Overland Park, Kansas. I've been swimming for all 4 years of my high school career, 3 years on the varsity team. I have been a State alternate for my sophomore year and swam in the 200 Freestyle relay and the 400 Freestyle relay my Junior year. This year our 200 Medley Relay and 400 Freestyle relay has already made the state qualifying time in the first meet of the 2017-2018 season. I hope to qualify for state in the 50 Freestyle and the 100 Freestyle this year. I am also the varsity head team captain. I train every day of the week Monday-Thursday in the afternoons Friday and Saturday mornings and Sunday strength training at my Crossfit gym (Crossfit OnTrack). Apart from swimming, I throw the javelin in the spring (129 feet is my current PR). For my future, I want to become a college swimmer at a school I'm going to love and help myself and the team improve. I am currently ridding on a 3.1 GPA and an ACT composite score of 20. I plan on retaking the ACT in the spring to hopefully improve my score. Finally, I plan on majoring in exercise science in college and pursuing a career in fitness, mainly because I love helping people get better at what they love which is fitness or whatever sport it may be. I hope as you are reading this you are having a wonderful day, and that your team is swimming fast.
