Mason Doucet '25 Recruiting Profile

I am a Senior and swimmer at Denham Springs High School and Tiger Aquatics. I love competing in the Butterfly, Backstroke and Freestyle events. I have been a competitive swimmer for 13 years. I love the competitiveness because it pushes me to use my abilities and to work harder than ever before. While swimming at Tiger Aquatics, I started to enjoy swimming because of the challenges in the pool, teamwork and supporting my teammates. 

My favorite and best strokes are the Fly, Back and Freestyle. The Fly is one of my best strokes, the unique movement through the water just comes natural to me. Backstroke is my fastest race currently, as I'm continually working to improving my stroke and technique my times will keep improving. Freestyle is exciting, it is the standard stroke in swimming and is always the most aggressive out of all the races in my opinion. These strokes are my favorites and I work daily on improving my technique and times.
