Sam Lipka '21 Recruiting Profile

I plan to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering while continuing to swim competitively. I hope to be able to continue to become a better athlete over the 4 years.

I have faced some large obstacles.  I lost my father to cancer in 2016 and last year while on my way to swimming my best times, lost almost all of the competitive season to an illness and then COVID hit. 

But through it all, I’ve kept my grades high and always return to training and the sport I love.

I give it 100 percent, am persistent, resilient and dedicated to my team and achieving my personal goals.  

Academically,  the unique and rigorous Engineering & Technology Academy at my high school, (which will include a senior year internship), provides me with an early foundation in Engineering skills, knowledge and experience that will help me be well prepared for a college major.
