I am a dedicated student-athlete with an interest in swimming at the collegiate level. I have been swimming competitively since I was 9 years old. I have put in a tremendous amount of time and effort in order to achieve my goals. My greatest achievement was swimming on two state relay teams last March. My split time for the 200 yd free relay was 21.85 and my split time for the 400 yd free relay was 48.45. I am a diversified swimmer and qualified for section finals in both the 50 free with a time of 22.85 and in the 500 free with a time of 4:56.49. I was also awarded All-Conference for the 2018-19 season.
I am hard-working and highly motivated. This summer I went to swim practice from 6-8am everyday. In addition to swimming, I have also played the trombone since 6th grade and am currently in marching band, jazz band, and wind ensemble (highest band in my high school). I am also part of the leadership group in both swimming and band. In addition to my extracurricular activities, I maintain a 3.987 weighted GPA and take both honors and AP courses. I have also been a board scholar for the past 3 years (higher than a 3.8 GPA).
I am looking for a college where I can pursue my major in biochemistry, as well as swim competitively. I would prefer a team where I could contribute immediately that would value my abilities. In addition, I would like the opportunity to play my instrument.
