I began competitive swimming in the fall of my 8th grade year. My friends convinced me to swim for the local club, and after falling in love with swimming, I joined the high school team. I made Section finals as the only 8th grader in my races. I made State as a freshman in the 50, the 100 free, and the free relays. As a sophomore, I was state champion in the 100 free, 3rd in the 50, and part of the state champion 4x50 and 4x100 free relays. This past season, as a junior, I was state champion in the 50 free and 100 free, achieving All-American Consideration in both events. I was also part of the 4x50 and 4x100 free relays that both took 2nd at state.
Goals for Senior year:
- Achieve Junior National Standards:
20.49 - 50 free SCY
44.39 - 100 free SCY
- Achieve as many state cuts as I can in different events
- Automatic All American in both 50 free and 100 free
I want to be a collegiate athlete because I am capable of finding success at high levels, and I enjoy setting, chasing, and achieving goals. My academics are very important to me, as I enjoy the search for success in the classroom as well as in the pool.
