Personal Statement

I started competitive swimming when I was 11.  I’ve always had a competitive mindset in all aspects of my life, so I'm interested in going to a competitive school that will challenge my academic and athletic abilities along with helping me achieve my goals.

I would bring a positive mindset to any eventual team I may be part of. I always work hard, and I push my teammates to do the same. I am not limited to only one stroke or event regarding my athletic ability, I have a good range of capabilities in the water. I would bring versatility to a team and a desire for my team to succeed at competitions as well as practices. Believing in your team, and putting the needs of your team before your own are crucial to being a successful athlete.
