Hi, I am Henry Bysshe, a sophomore from Pope John Regional Highschool XXIII in New Jersey. I swim and play baseball.
My swimming career started when I was very little when I asked my mom if I could join a swim team. That season I tried out for the Sussex County Swordfish and didn't make it. I then signed up for the Sussex County YMCA's learning program teaching kids the basics of swimming without being on a team. After learning the basics for a year I went back to the Swordfish and made the team with ease. I found early success but quickly found I needed to train harder and haven't stopped since.
I've made the varsity swim team twice at Pope John and found great success with the club team. I made a Y-national time with a relay with the Swordfish. I have current goals of solo Y-national times this season, just missing the times in the previous season. I've trained all summer and I am excited to get back into a full season and get those national times.
