My athletic career as a swimmer has allowed me to branch out and meet new friends while simultaneously giving me the opportunities to prove my commitment and leadership to others. The highlight of my high school swimming career thus far is getting third at the New Jersey State Championship in the 400 Freestyle Relay as a freshmen. Swimming has always played an enormous role in my life and has allowed me to learn valuable life lessons shaping me into the person I am today. I look forward to swimming in college so that I can gain a sense of teamwork and unity while also getting to experience college level swimming competition.
Academics play an equally important role in my life as well. I currently hold a 4.0 average in my high school and I plan to continue that trend in college. I also partake in concert ensemble as first chair clarinet, row on the Varsity 4+ boat for VHS Crew and am an Assistant Coach for the Mighty Marlins in the Winter and a Volunteer Coach for Dolphin Swim Team in the Summer. When I'm not swimming, these activities allow for a diverse high school experience. As of right now, my ultimate goal is to earn my PhD in marine biology/education and to also coach swimming at the university level.
