Personal Statement
Without some sort of financial aid, my options for higher education are limited. My performances are opening a lot of doors for me. As I continue to improve, the pressure on me to swim faster increases. And I perform great under pressure! My experiences as a leader, especially as a team captain, have greatly improved my ability to work with others and respond to criticism. I've met the high expectations I set for myself in the classroom every year. Most importantly, my high school swimming experiences have taught me how to react effectively when things don't go according to plan.

Are you in honor classes?
Yes. I've taken honors classes in 4 core subjects (Math, Science, Social Studies, English) since freshman year. At Perrysburg High School, Honors Classes for certain foreign languages are not offered until junior year. As a result of this, I started taking Honors Chinese Language in junior year. Also, I've taken 2 college courses through Ohio's College Credit Plus (CCP) program. I took World Civilizations (HIST 1510) at BGSU during the 2020-2021 school year. In the summer of 2021, I took Modern America (HIST 2060).Are you in AP/IB classes?
