2021 Highlights Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Aidan Carter. I’ve been swimming competitively now for 8 years. I have kept swimming since then because I have found the sport to be enjoyable and it has provided me with many challenges. I want to continue swimming in college because I want to further improve myself and meet new people. My goals are to improve myself while also helping those around me improve. I like to be a leader on whatever team I am on, whether it be a club team, school team, or rec team. Some of the ways that I do this are by encouraging others to go on through a hard practice, counting in the 500, being joyful while in the pool, and leading hard sets.

- I finished 8th in the 50 free with a time of 21.94. I finished 8th in the 100 free with a time of 47.22. I swam the fly leg of the 200 medley relay with a time of 23.87. We finished 5th in the State with a 1:37.90 which is a new school record in this event. I swam the first leg of the 400 free relay with a 48.06. We finished 3rd in the State with a 3:12.61 which is a new school record in this event.
