Over the last ten years, I have learned that hard work and dedication are the keys to reaching my goals. I have been invloved in both competitive swimming and scouting. When I started Boy Scouts at the age of six, I decided that I wanted to reach the rank of Eagle Scout. With a bit of prodding from my parents and leaders, l became an Eagle Scout at the age of 16. After achieving Eagle I began to focus more on becoming the best swimmer I possibly could. For me, this means going on to compete at the collegiate level. I look forward to the challenges of college swimming and study because I now know what it takes to be succesful at whatever I do.
