My passion for swimming began when I was six months old. I was always splashing about in either a pubic pool or private pools of family and friends. Dabbling in other interests like soccer, karate (obtaining my Blackbelt when I was in grade five ), and playing the guitar allowed me to pursue different opportunities. The demands of juggling competitive karate and swimming became a challenge so I decided to immerse myself in swimming while continuing to play guitar. Graduating with honours in Business, forging strong relationships and networks both personally and academically will be top priority during my college years. Developing camaraderie with fellow teammates, coaches, classmates and educators is important to ensure a well-rounded college experience. Being engrossed in swimming on a competitive level taught me to be disciplined, organized and utilize my time to the best of my ability. I train hard, study hard and pay heed to all the advice, knowledge, support and encouragement offered by my coaches, teachers, parents and teammates. I I enjoy learning new things and I seek out new learning opportunities. I am not static. I embrace having a growth mindset that motivates me to work hard, develop skilled strategies, and acknowledge and follow through on feedback. My eyes are always on the prize and the end goal. I know it is through determination and a steadfast drive to keep learning and improving that I can achieve whatever goals I set out for myself academically, athletically and on a personal level.
