Samuel Postlewait '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Samuel Postlewait.  I am 17 years old and have been a swimmer on a club team for 10 years.  I enjoy all aspects of school and currently I hold the title of an honors student with a 3.70 GPA.  

My favorite classes are English and Theory of Knowledge.  I plan to graduate with an advanced high school degree.  My dream is to graduate college with an English degree and become a high school English teacher.  Some hobbies of mine are chess, 3D printing, biking and reading. I love reading since it's a calm and relaxing pastime.  Chess is awesome because of the mind challenge.  Biking is fun because of the thrill and workout you're getting at the same time.

In swim, my greatest achievement is making it to my next goal.  I currently have met my next goal and that was making sectional times.   My strongest strokes are free and back events.  I am a driven and focused swimmer who loves to race.  I love swimming because of the competition and the chance to improve.  I really enjoy high school swimming because I work well in a team. I finished my freshman swim season with a 4A state championship win in the 100 backstroke and a third place in the 100 free. I finished my junior year season with 4a state championship wins in the 50 free and 100 back.  I want to swim in college because it's what I have been working for since I was 7 years old. I want to see what I can do at that level and what I can do for the school I would represent. I would be lucky to have that opportunity.
