I look forward to joining a college swim team where I can excel in the pool and share my enthusiasm, hard work, and strong team spirit. On my high school and club swim teams, I have enjoyed supporting my teammates as much as achieving my own goals. As the co-captain of my high school team this year, I've learned how to lead by example in practice and during competitions. Resilience when faced with challenges and how to motivate and encourage my teammates proved quite important.
I hope to find a college team where these qualities are valued and where I can continue to grow as an athlete and teammate. In the pool, I bring speed, determination, and focus. I've been competitively swimming since I was 8 years old, and I am thrilled every time I step onto the blocks. I always look for ways to improve my swimming through specific training, coach feedback, or studying the art of swimming from the greats, one YouTube video at a time.
Academically, I have maintained a 4.0 weighted GPA in a challenging curriculum of AP classes. Every day, I balance the demands of athletics, academics, and working my lifeguarding job. I'm excited to swim and find a college with a vibrant academic community. I'm deeply committed to contributing to a fun and inclusive team culture and continuing my passion for swimming excellence.
