Swimming in college was never a goal I thought possible to have. But after lots of hard work and after achieving some major growth in the pool my junior year, I'm now exploring the possibility of swimming after high school.
From grades K-11, I was homeschooled. I was involved in my local swim club through middle school, and in high school I made the local public high school varsity swim team.
For my senior year, I have enrolled at the public high school and plan to graduate in May 2022.
Last season, I broke a school record for the 50 freestyle, and I qualified in that event to participate in state competitions.
My goal for the upcoming season is to work hard, cut times, break more records, and do even better in state competitions. Hopefully, I can earn a spot on a college team and - possibly - help pay for my college education by continuing a sport I love.
