I strive to swim to the best of my ability and constantly challenge myself. My passion for swimming started at the age of nine when I joined my neighborhood summer league swim team. I soon joined the local swim club team Blue Tide Aquatics and have been swimming competitively for over six years. I love the sport of swimming and value the friendships I have made with it. Through competitive swimming and the support of my coaches, I have learned the value of goal setting and to look at each day as a new opportunity to improve and strive to be better than the day before.
In the future, I want to pursue a career in veterinary science and own a business with the education I gain from postgraduate and graduate studies. I want to swim at the collegiate level as I believe it will provide me an opportunity to reach a goal to win a NCAA division level championship in either back and/or fly stroke. I see myself as an example for others to follow and hope to inspire other people to strive to be their best. I like to set high expectations for myself both academically and athletically. I am ecstatic for future talks and plans about how I might fit into a college’s swim program.
