Personal Statement

My name is Dusty Ragland, I am a 5'9" Senior from Park City, UT. I am seventeen years old and I have 7 years of competitive swimming experience and am looking to add many more years. I have gone to Western Zones twice and Far Westerns twice. As well as Short Course Sectionals in Federal Way Washington. I was voted Utah 3A swimmer of the year. I am Captain of the Park City High School swim team. I will be attending the USA Swimming Convention in Jacksonville, Florida as a Utah Athlete Representative. Swimming is my life and passion. My ideal school would be D1 or D2 on the west coast but I am not counting any schools out. Size is not really an issue. I am interested in a school that can offer a quality education and an opportunity to improve my times. My major of choice is Pre-Medicine or a track that can lead to Med School. Financial Assistance is going to be very important to me as my family and I have a need. Ideally I would want to be competing at the highest competition level and really challenging myself to strive for the best.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
