Hey Coaches! I first started swimming upon moving to blazing hot St. George, UT when I was 9. I showed some talent early on but nothing too special. Approaching 12 years old, I moved up into the Senior group of my club team and trained with my current coach, Coach Shawn King. He was super intense for me as a 12 year old because it was a senior group filled with high school aged kids. I ended up quitting swimming due to that and also a perspiration to become a basketball player. I stopped swimming until I was 13 almost 14 because I realized I was no good at basketball. It just grew my love and my passion for this sport of swimming because I know its where I'm supposed to be at. I've really grown a passion for it through the successes that my team mates and I have had since I've been a freshman.
I contribute a special mentality that helps me overcome obstacles that I may face. I help others with their mentalities and push others on my team to be the best them that they can be; in and out of the water. I am able to lighten up the mood on an intense day but then snap it right back and push myself again during the set. I enjoy swimming and would love to improve myself as a swimmer and as a person through a collegiate program. I appreciate your time.
