100 Fly NW Region...Personal Statement
Hi! Thank you for looking at my profile. I will graduate from Lynnwood High School in Bothell, Washington, in the class of 2020. I NEED to swim in college. Swimming keeps me focused, motivated, and happy. I can't imagine not swimming in college and continuing my goals.
I have been a club swimmer for 6 years and also swim for my high school team. I swam for the Wesco AAA State Championship as a sophomore in the 100 fly, and I am going to state as a junior in the 100 fly and 2 relay events (I just missed qualifying for the 100 back). I also swim many club meets and continue to drop time. My new coach taught me a lot about goal setting, and I am totally committed and focused to improving my strokes and dropping time.
My high school team is awesome. We only had 15 swimmers my freshman year, and it has now grown to 32 swimmers for my junior year. It has been exciting and fun to play a big part in our growing swim program. We only won 1 meet over 2 years when I was in 9th and 10th grades. For my junior year we won 5 meets and have 2 relay teams going to state!
