My goals and aspirations in swimming are to compete in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events nationally and even further, and to work to become a professional swimmer. I've been dreaming about this for 3 years now and swimming has now been a hobby that I want to pursue in the near future. Swimming was an escape from stress and other personal conflicts and it also boosted my self-esteem. As a swimmer, I always have a conversation with my coaches on how to improve, whether it's my stroke or my speed, it gives me motivation to get better. Something different about me in terms of character is that I'm always down on myself when it comes to not performing at the level I expected. But, this gives me more drive and determination to compete at 110% effort the next time.
