I am a 6,3 breaststroker and freestyle. I am able to swimming any stroke with experience as our teams best IM swimmer. I go to A, C. Davis High School in Yakima, WA. Swim has been my life since I was 9 years old starting at the YMCA taking classes nearly everyday. Most known about me is my loyalty and generosity I'm a good team player who works well with others and I do my best to make all feel welcome both in and out of the pool. Additionally I have been taking IB classes since junior year not only because they are more challenging but to prove my academic worth. As a young freshman my family life was less than ideal, my parents were nearly torn apart and for a large part of my impressionable life my father son time was limited. These factors resulted in a less motivated student which is why my GPA is at a 2.7. Thankfully my family found its way back together and as my family healed I became more motivated to make up for my poor performance and be a better student as well as a better swimmer. While my life was in shambles Swim was one of the only things that gave me a foundation and a family I could rely on. This sport has helped to shape who I am as a person given me purpose and a perspective that others who do not swim just do not have. One other thing that had continually shaped me since my childhood is the arts and that is very important to me when looking at further education. As a swimmer I would also like to continue on my path to reach higher heights as an academic and an artist. My major that I want to pursue would be in fashion design to grow my artistic abilities and to create a career in as a designer. I will swim as a freshman working to reach better times daily, I will work to be a better student a never stall in my trajectory, and I will continue to become a better well rounded artist. and I would like a school that encourages all of those attributes. I am open to all options although i would like a school where I can establish meaningful connections with students, coaches, and fellow athletes located close to a large metropolitan area where I can major in fashion design.
