Joseph Shen '24 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing tennis for almost a decade, and have come to enjoy the beauty of the sport. Tennis taught me a lot about my own character and my years playing it have been punctuated not only by my growth as a player but also as a person. Because of this, I always give it my 100 percent on the court, and I will never shy away from going above and beyond to improve.  I can bring positive energy to the team, and my strong work ethic will motivate my teammates to become better athletes. I have strong leadership qualities, and in the heat of the battle, my moral compass is unwavering. In tennis, I am ranked top 100 in Canada, and top 10 in the province of British Colombia. Because of my desire to succeed, I excel not only in tennis but also in academics.  I have a 93+ average and am enrolled in multiple honors courses. I am excited to take a big step forwards in my collegiate career and play for a tennis team.
